Why people love it
The feeling of this beach
A postcard cove ringed by cliffs and coconut palms — stunning to visit, but powerful Atlantic surf means it's more for photos than swimming.
What to expect
The shoreline, end to end
Bottom Bay is one of the most photographed beaches in Barbados — a small horseshoe of white sand enclosed by tall coral cliffs and a curtain of coconut palms.
Access is via a short walk down from a clifftop car park.
The setting is unforgettable, but the Atlantic surf here is powerful and there are no lifeguards or facilities — most visitors come to walk, photograph and picnic rather than swim.
