Why people love it

A standout slice of Barbados

Snorkel six historic shipwrecks and meet resident sea turtles in the calm, sheltered water of Carlisle Bay Marine Park.

What to expect

The experience, end to end

Carlisle Bay is a designated marine park just off Bridgetown, with at least six accessible wrecks in 5–18m of water — including the Berwyn, Bajan Queen and Eilon — colonised by reef fish, seahorses and frogfish.

Above the wrecks, a shallow sandy area is one of the most reliable turtle encounters on the island.

Most visitors arrive by catamaran, but shore snorkelling from Pebbles Beach is possible in calm conditions.
