Why people love it
A standout slice of Barbados
The home of the world's oldest rum brand — guided tastings, cocktail workshops and rum-paired lunches at the Visitors' Centre just outside Bridgetown.
What to expect
The experience, end to end
Mount Gay traces its origins to 1703, making it the oldest commercial rum brand in the world.
The Visitors' Centre on Spring Garden Highway in Brandons sits next to the bottling and ageing facility and offers four bookable experiences led by Mount Gay's in-house guides and mixologists.
The Signature Tasting (from 27.50 USD, 1 hour) walks you through the core range.
The Cocktail Workshop (from 67.50 USD, 2 hours) is a hands-on session making rum cocktails with the brand's mixologists.
The Lunch and Rum Tasting Experience (from 82.50 USD, 2 hours) pairs a guided tasting with a plated Bajan-inspired lunch.
The Evening at Mount Gay (from 125.00 USD, 4 hours) is a longer evening session with tastings, cocktails and food in a more social setting.
