Why people love it
The feeling of this beach
The southern end of Carlisle Bay — calm, shallow water and, at dawn, racehorses from Garrison Savannah taking their morning swim.
What to expect
The shoreline, end to end
Pebbles is the southern stretch of Carlisle Bay, fronting the Hilton and Radisson hotels.
Best known for two things: very calm shallow water (ideal for nervous swimmers and young children), and the early-morning ritual of thoroughbreds from the Garrison Savannah being walked into the sea to cool down — a much-loved local spectacle.
