Why people love it
A standout slice of Barbados
A theatrical, deeply personal garden built into a sinkhole gully in the parish of St. Joseph — one of the most unusual visitor experiences on the island.
What to expect
The experience, end to end
Created by Bajan horticulturalist Anthony Hunte inside a collapsed cave gully, Hunte's Gardens is a layered descent through ferns, palms, bromeliads and orchids, with classical music playing through speakers hidden in the foliage.
Anthony himself is often on-site, glass of rum punch in hand.
It's small but unforgettable, and a perennial visitor favourite.
