Why people love it
The feeling of this beach
The Atlantic east coast at its most dramatic — giant mushroom-shaped rocks, foaming surf and Barbados' most famous surf break, the Soup Bowl.
What to expect
The shoreline, end to end
Bathsheba is the iconic face of the windward east coast: wide stretches of sand studded with weathered coral 'mushroom rocks', constant rolling Atlantic surf and lush green cliffs behind.
The Soup Bowl just offshore is one of the Caribbean's best surf breaks.
The current and rocks make it unsuitable for general swimming, but tide-pools at low tide are safe to wade in, and a handful of bars and rum shops in the village make it a beloved scenic stop.
